S. Melzer - Expressed her opinion that the public desires to have a public access Deep Creek Pier. She objected to the desire of certain parties to disallow public access to the water at that location as stipulated by the Melzer land grant. City Manager reported on his direction from City Council to present a proposal for a pedestrian pier at Deep Creek.
C. Powell - Expressed his opinion that the construction of a pedestrian pier at Deep Creek would be a waste of public money.
C. Hogge - Reviewed provisions of City planning documents of 1990 regarding the creation of a public recreation park at Deep Creek. Presented photos showing the previous uses of Deep Creek Pier.
J. Gergely - Advocated keeping the Deep Creek Pier because of its heritage and historical importance to the City.
City Manager - Requested a motion of City Council to appropriate $10K from the 2007 Reserves to NNR&HA clear a lien and assume ownership of 1600 25th Street - moved and approved. Reminded citizens of the special election on December 11th.
Allen - Congratulated Councilman Whitaker on his recent diabetes run, and encouraged citizens to make donations to the diabetes campaign.
