NEWPORT NEWS CITY COUNCIL – February 13, 2007

 

Item 10.          Citizen Comments on Matters Germane to the Business of City Council

 

K. Place - Suggested a scenario that the lack of leadership on transportation is related to the projections used to falsely justify the King William Reservoir Project.

 

R. Richardson - Suggested that there is a lack of factual information available regarding the King William Reservoir project. Also, suggested that Newport News is not properly Factoring in economics with regard to the project.

 
Item 11. News Business and Councilmember Comments
 

Hildebrandt - Pointed out that a new legislative program update has been placed before them.

 

McMillan - Complimented school division on a recent stage production at on of its high schools which was a part of the Jamestown Celebration programs.

 

Scott - Advised citizens of the next North District Town Hall meeting that is scheduled for February 26.

 

Allen - Moved to reconsider the January 23, 2007 City Council action on change of zoning CZ-06-226, J. Denbigh Associates, Inc. motion failed.
