Item 7.   Citizen Comments on Matters Germane to the Business of City Council              
 

M. Edwards - Provided report on the recent Southeast Community Day event, and thanked Mayor Frank and others for participating.

           

P. Thatch - Questioned the City’s recent purchase of 301 Buxton Avenue and the amount of money paid for the property. Requested an investigation.

 
Questioned the cost of the wavescreen handrail project at the Seafood Industrial Park.
 

J. Atkinson - Provided additional detail about the legal ownership of the Deep Creek Pier and the adjacent roadway.

 

D. Kundis - Questioned City Council’s oversight of City’s spending. Suggested arrogance by City Council in not listening to citizens’ desire to cut City spending.

 

L. Irby - Expressed her opinion of the poor budget and financial state of the City.

 

L. Vaughan - Requested reduced City spending. Commented on the large FY 08 budget surplus. Suggested better City Council stewardship of budget matters.

 
P. Killebrew - Announced a RETRO forum and voter registration at WarwickHigh School at 7:00 p.m. on October 29.
