Item 7. Citizen Comments on Matters Germane to the Business of City CouncilM. Edwards - Provided report on the recent Southeast Community Day event, and thanked Mayor Frank and others for participating.
P. Thatch - Questioned the City’s recent purchase of 301 Buxton Avenue and the amount of money paid for the property. Requested an investigation.
J. Atkinson - Provided additional detail about the legal ownership of the Deep Creek Pier and the adjacent roadway.
D. Kundis - Questioned City Council’s oversight of City’s spending. Suggested arrogance by City Council in not listening to citizens’ desire to cut City spending.
L. Irby - Expressed her opinion of the poor budget and financial state of the City.
L. Vaughan - Requested reduced City spending. Commented on the large FY 08 budget surplus. Suggested better City Council stewardship of budget matters.

Hildebrant - Commented on the report provided by speaker Atkinson regarding the Deep Creek Pier.
