A description of the Taxi Advisory Board
Purpose:
Created to review taxi regulations and advise City Council with regard to appropriate provisions of any ordinance pertaining to taxicabs.
Term of Office:
Initially, two (2) taxicab industry representatives shall be appointed for a one (1) year term commencing January 1, 2008, and ending December 31, 2008; the citizen representative and one (1) taxicab industry representative shall each be appointed for a two-year term commencing January 1, 2008, and ending December 31, 2010. Thereafter, all taxicab industry and citizen represntatives shall be appointed for two-year terms.
Meeting:
First Tuesday of each month, in the Community Room of the Police HQ, 9710 Jefferson Avenue, unless the Chairman shall determine an alternative time, date, or place.
Membership:
Police Chief or designee (Ex-Officio)
Commissioner of Revenue or designee (Ex-Officio)
