Purpose
To further and support the programs of the Newsome House Museum & Cultural Center. This nonprofit membership organization, follows in the footsteps of Joseph Thomas Newsome by sustaining his legacy of community service and pride.
Membership
Initial 7 members of the Board of Directors appointed by City Council. New non-profit status allows for appointments to be made by election of the membership. Seven membership levels in The Friends of the Newsome House are available.
Meeting Date
The board meets quarterly at The Newsome House and conducts one annual general membership meeting.
