Circuit Court Local Rule 96-3 Notice in Actions Involving Real Estate

VIRGINIA: IN THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE CITY OF NEWPORT NEWS
IN RE: NOTICE IN ACTIONS INVOLVING REAL ESTATE

Effective March 7, 2006, Local Rule 96-3 is vacated.

 

MEMORANDUM ORDER
LOCAL RULE 96-3

      Effective October 1, 1996, legal advertisements of notice published in the Virginia Observer, pertaining to actions or proceedings where real estate is subject matter, will not be accepted as meeting the legal requirements of a newspaper established in Section 8.01-324 of the Virginia Code.

       Pursuant to Rule 1:15, the original of this Memorandum Order shall forthwith be spread upon the Order Book and an attested copy of same shall be (1) posted in the Clerk's Office, (2) filed with the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia, and (3) furnished to Chesapeake, Hampton, James City County-Williamsburg, York County, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Richmond and Virginia Beach attorneys regularly practicing before this Court.

      Entered this 10th day of September, 1996.
