The Public Works Department, in concert with its Asset Management System User Departments are proud to introduce a new tool to our Newport News Citizens. This tool is a web site that allows our customers to “Report a Problem or Request a Service”.

Notice to Solid Waste Customers: Labor Day Holiday Collection Schedule

Garbage, bulk and recycling collection for Monday will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday’s collection will be on Wednesday, Wednesday’s collection will be on Thursday and Thursday’s collection will be on Friday. This schedule is for the holiday week only. Your normal collection days will resume on the week following the holiday.
